cream Easter dress

Pattern: Vintage Vogue pattern #2671

Fabric: not sure

Construction Notes: This dress has a side placket with snaps and hooks-and-eyes, and two snaps at the neckline. The sash helps make it fitted at the waist, and the pleated inset gives the skirt some "kick"! :) Since the cream fabric was kind of sheer, my Mom lined the dress, but treated the fashion fabric and the lining as one (serging the raw edges).

Miscellaneous Ramblings: My mom sewed this for Easter 2005, and it is now my favorite dress ever! It is a lot more complicated than it looks in the picture -- check out the pattern for a better idea of all the details! Mom did a great job with all the pleats. She is an wonderful seamstress, as evidenced by the fact that she produced this dress in about a week, solely from my measurements, with no fittings (I was away on a vacation at the time).
