dessert apron Pattern: my own design, cannibalized from different apron patterns Fabric: light blue cotton with delectable desserts printed all over Construction Notes: Very basic design -- the raw edges are bound with white bias tape. The waistband ended up being a tad big for me, which is why I just wrapped the ties around and tied them in front. Miscellaneous Ramblings: I made myself an apron last summer, but I've found that half aprons, while cute, aren't always practical. When our local Hancock Fabrics was going out of business, I snatched up this cotton I'd admired for some time... I just LOVE the colors in it, and the desserts make you foam at the mouth (or at least put you in the mood for cooking). I was inspired by this vintage apron, but in the end I didn't want to bother with figuring out how to make the bodice wrap around. It's simple, basic, and hopefully it will protect me a bit more than my half aprons! back
